Ecuador is one of the member states of the Union of South American Nations, located in the northwestern part of South America. It shares its northern border with Colombia, its southern border with Peru, and is bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west. Easter Day is an important Western festival, symbolizing rebirth and hope. As a significant Christian nation in South America, Ecuador places great importance on Easter activities. To this end, the government has vigorously promoted a series of Easter-related projects.Rongtua Shipping Group's Beijing branch has undertaken the full transportation services for the transformers from port to site for the Ecuador Easter Power Transmission and Transformation Project. The project sites include Pascuales, Santa Rosa, and Trinitaria, with the farthest distance between sites being 400 kilometers. The transportation task involves five transformer units and their accessories, with the heaviest piece weighing up to 125 tons.

As the logistics carrier for the project, Rongtua Group's Ecuador Project Department faced significant responsibilities and challenges in an unfamiliar country. The project team members, together with the Rongtua Zhangjiagang Branch, carefully prepared and meticulously organized the operations, successfully completing the cargo receiving and loading work in Zhangjiagang. Before the shipment arrived at the Port of Guayaquil, Han Shuai, a key member of the project team, and Zhao Tianming, who was invited to provide support from Rongtua Southwest Company, arrived in Guayaquil in advance. They held face-to-face meetings with local customs and transportation agents. Considering the severe security situation in the area, they overcame difficulties to conduct site inspections at the port and project locations in advance, ensuring smooth cargo discharge at the port and urging the timely completion of clearance work at the project site.

The transformer units were transported under armed escort.

After the vessel arrived at the port, the project team coordinated with the port authorities to arrange for the direct loading of the transformer units from the ship to the transport vehicles. Thanks to the thorough preparations made by the project team in collaboration with the local agents and customs authorities, the customs clearance process was completed efficiently and smoothly.Given that the three project sites were located far apart from each other and considering that the transportation task involved high-value, oversized cargo, the project team followed the pre-determined transportation plan to prioritize the delivery of the transformer units to their respective sites. The transportation of the remaining goods was scheduled to be completed after the Spring Festival. Two Rongtua team members, who were on-site to follow up on the project, volunteered to stay in the local area to ensure the successful completion of the project. During this most important traditional Chinese festival, these Rongtua employees, who remained on duty, had to be away from their families and spend the Spring Festival in a foreign country. This demonstrated the diligent work attitude and the professional commitment of the Rongtua project team.

The successful implementation of the transformer transportation mission for the Ecuador Easter Project has been highly praised by the project owner and can be regarded as a model for Rongtua Shipping Group's expansion into the South American market. In the future, Rongtua Beijing Company will actively implement the spirit of the chairman and president's speech at the annual meeting, actively expand the market, and help the group achieve even more brilliant results!
